The Department of Environment, Science and Innovation is proposing to make a number of amendments to the protected area estate and are seeking views in consideration of the Human Rights Act 2019, including Aboriginal peoples’ and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultural rights and pursuant to section 70K of the Nature Conservation Act 1992.

The Department of Environment, Science and Innovation is proposing to make a number of amendments to the protected area estates and gives notice of the proposed amendments to forest reserves pursuant to Section 70K of the Nature Conservation Act 1992.

The Department is also seeking views in consideration of the Human Rights Act 2019, including Aboriginal peoples’ and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ cultural rights.
